The State of HVLS Technology

Since the original high-volume, low-speed (HVLS) fan prototype came to market more than 15 years ago, there have been significant technology and design developments improving the way they function. Confidence in the product has grown with architects and engineers through the establishment of an Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA)-approved method of measuring the fan’s performance and, more recently, updated safety guidelines through the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems.
