The Chicago department of aviation[2] has unveiled the final five design proposals for the O’Hare expansion project[3]. They have asked the public to review the designs and share their opinions.
Five 3D models are on display at the Chicago Architecture Center[4]. The teams were asked to design a cutting-edge terminal, while reflecting the legacy of Chicago’s innovation, architecture, and diversity. This is the first time the City of Chicago has involved public feedback in a design competition at its airports. At 209,032 m2 (2.25 million sf), the new terminal will be among one of the largest in the United States.
