Ensuring the quality of thin brick veneer installations
 
Located in the Los Angeles community of Playa Vista, the Brickyard Campus comprises two, five-story buildings of 27,870 m2 (300,000 sf) and 9290 m2 (100,000 sf) each. Completed in 2017, the two structures are clad with 10,219 m2 (110,000 sf) of thin brick with a white engobe coating. Quality assurance (QA) testing was performed on mockups and during the installation. A quality control (QC) program was also implemented during the installation. These helped the project team avoid delays and installation problems.

Texas art center glows in ‘ruby’ red
 
The exterior skin of Ruby City, a new contemporary art center in San Antonio, Texas, has a ruby glow. Made from precast concrete fabricated in Mexico City, it has been imbued with a rich red giving the building its signature color. Designed by Adjaye Associates in collaboration with Alamo Architects, the building aims to provide a space for the city’s creative community to experience works by local and internationally acclaimed artists.

ADDENDUM VS BULLETIN
I have always understood Addendums to be organized in the write up by sheet. This way, a bidder, goes right to that sheet and see what is changed. A bulletin is to be written topically. If I am removing a door with electric strikes for examples, I would state that and describe as one line item the removal of door, frame, and electrified hardware and then reissue all sheets (if warranted). Is this how others are doing it?
