RevealShield SA Self-adhered WRB/Air Barrier
RevealShield SA self-adhered water resistive (WRB) and air barrier (AB) is a patent-pending, black, ultraviolet (UV)-stable, water-resistive, vapor-permeable, self-adhered AB membrane for open-joint rainscreen cladding systems.
The RevealShield SA differences are:
- protects building envelope by allowing vapor to pass through, but not air or liquid water;
- reduces risk of damage from moisture infiltration;
- stops air infiltration as per ASTM 2357, Standard Test Method for Determining Air Leakage Rate of Air Barrier Assemblies, and approved by the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA);
- proven longevity in the marketplace, launched 2014;
- no primer and zero volatile organic compounds (VOCs);
- innovative pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) offers superior lap adhesion;
- unique PSA allows for repositioning, vastly improving speed and ease of installation;
- fully tested rough opening flashing system;
- 12 months exposure prior to cladding installation;
- black color, ideally suited for open joint cladding;
- black matte finish cooler to the touch versus high sheen membranes;
- National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) compliant in more than 50 assemblies;
- passes ASTM 1354, Standard Test Method for Heat and Visible Smoke; and
- standard 20-year warranty;
