Produced by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.corgan.com\/\">Corgan<\/a>, 3D illustrations provide concrete examples for how the strategies can be implemented and laid out in spaces large and small.<\/p>\n<p>Strategies were developed using current public health information, industrial hygiene practices, as well as the AIA\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.constructionspecifier.com\/aia-releases-guidelines-for-safer-re-occupancy-of-buildings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Re-occupancy Assessment Tool<\/a>, which provides a framework of strategies for making buildings safer during the pandemic. Additional strategies\u2014for restrooms and staff break rooms\u2014are available in AIA\u2019s report,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aia.org\/resources\/6301958-reopening-america-strategies-for-safer-off?editing=true&amp;tools=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Reopening America: Strategies for Safer Offices<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>AIA produced the resource with guidance from its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aia.org\/resources\/69766-disaster-assistance-program\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Disaster Assistance Committee<\/a>\u00a0and input from the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration Engineers (ASHRAE) Epidemic Task Force, Auburn University, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and the University of Rhode Island (URI).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The American Institute of Architects (AIA) has released a\u00a0new resource and 3D illustrations\u00a0for election administrators that provides strategies for reducing COVID-19 transmission risk in polling places.
