The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.riversideartmuseum.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Riverside Art Museum<\/a> will run the new cultural venue.<\/p>\n<p>The adaptive reuse of the 5706-m<sup>2<\/sup> (61,420-sf) building will position it to display Cheech Marin\u2019s large art collection. The Riverside City Council has committed about $1 million a year for the museum\u2019s operations as well as $10.7 million renovation, by <a href=\"https:\/\/hamelinc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hamel Contracting<\/a>, according to a report in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pe.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>The Press-Enterprise<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cheech Marin has \u201cmore than 700 paintings, drawings, photographs, and\u00a0sculptures\u201d that will become part of the new collection at the Cheech Marin Center, according to reporting by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>The New York Times<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Page &#038;
