The architecture, planning, and interiors firm The Architectural Team<\/a> (TAT) has promoted senior project manager and architect Tom Schultz, AIA, NCARB, to the associate position.<\/p>\n

A well-regarded expert in multifamily housing design, urban infill development, senior living, and adaptive reuse project types, Schultz is a valuable source for the media who can draw from a range of case studies to illuminate today\u2019s key design and development trends, the firm said in a press release.<\/p>\n

In his 19 years with TAT, Schultz has led design and project management for more than 278,709 m2<\/sup> (3 million sf) of built projects in New England alone. His portfolio includes work for national developers such as Lennar, Toll Brothers, Hines, and Greystar, as well as for global brands and public institutions. Recent highlights include:<\/p>\n

\u25cf creative combinations of adaptive reuse and new construction such as 100 Shawmut, a 138-unit condominium project nearing completion in Boston\u2019s south end;
\n\u25cf strategic urban infill developments that support reinvestment and revitalization, such as One Chestnut Place, a 15-story tower that replaces a parking lot in downtown Quincy, Massachusetts;
\n\u25cf mixed-use destinations including Boston’s Lovejoy Wharf; and
\n\u25cf master planned affordable neighborhoods such as Flat 9 at Whittier, a transit-oriented development transforming an outdated 1950s public housing block into a new mixed-income, mixed-use community with onsite resident services ranging from healthcare enrollment to food distribution.<\/p>\n
