font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Photo courtesy Page &amp; Turnbull <\/span><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Peter Birkholz has taken the reins as president at Page &amp; Turnbull, leading the charge in a time of growth for the architecture firm, including the opening of a new San Jose, California office.<\/p>\n<p>Birkholz is a 40-year veteran of the architecture and preservation professions known widely for his expertise in prime and preservation architecture on a variety of building types, as well as in materials conservation, planning, and cultural resource assessments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeter\u2019s success in resiliency and coastal projects as well as in climate change adaptation through design and preservation put him in the ideal position to carry Page &amp; Turnbull forward,\u201d says Ruth Todd, Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA), who served as the firm\u2019s president since 2020. \u201cHis work has demonstrated the value of architecture in addressing the biggest challenges society faces.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Todd adds with Birkholz\u2019s initiative, Page &amp; Turnbull\u2014which recently achieved certification as a Women\u2019s Business Enterprise (WBE) in California\u2014is opening a new San Jose office to serve its growing client base as it continues to expand the San Francisco, Los Angeles and Sacramento offices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am honored to lead Page &amp;
