The standards will have an impact on the choice of refrigerant, as well as design and operating characteristics of air-conditioning units. Meeting the conditions for high-ambient climates is another challenge for countries, with air-conditioning consuming between 50 and 60 percent of the domestic power supply.<\/p>\n<p>The following seminars during the conference, which takes place from Jan. 23 to 27, will also address low GWP:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cRefrigerant Advances;\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cEvaluating Low-GWP Refrigerants for Air-conditioning Industry in High-Ambient Temperature Countries;\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cMaking the Commercialization of Low-GWP Refrigerants a Reality;\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cHighlights From the 24<sup>th<\/sup> IIR International Congress of Refrigeration;&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>\u201cImproving the Efficiency of Low-GWP Commercial Refrigeration Systems;\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cCompression Challenges for Low-GWP Refrigeration;\u201d and<\/li>\n<li>\u201cTrending Research and Advances in Simulation.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information on the conference, click <a
