The iconic Horace E. Dodge and Son Memorial Fountain in Detroit recently underwent a complete renovation by Fountains by Water Works (FBWW).<\/p>\n

The above-ground restoration involved removal of the stainless-steel facade, repolishing, and reinstalling. The large granite bowl that had numerous cracks were repaired, while the granite basin was reconstructed to ensure it was waterproof and safe.<\/p>\n

The 168 outdated lights were replaced with modern, programmable LED lighting, and the fountain\u2019s three water features\u2014the misters at the top, the upward-spraying jets in the main basin, and the downward-spraying jets\u2014were all disassembled, reworked or replaced, and reassembled.<\/p>\n

After the fountain\u2019s damage was evaluated, the panels were removed from the fountain\u2019s dome light, its jet lights were repaired and then put back into place once they were in proper working order.<\/p>\n

Underground restoration involved redesigning the fountain\u2019s underground systems and original parts.<\/p>\n
