The Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) has released a new comprehensive publication bringing together the latest industry standards for architectural woodwork into a single volume for the first time in nearly a decade.<\/p>\n

Designed as a practical reference for woodworkers, designers, builders, and educators, AWI Standards 2026<\/em> compiles 14 standards covering everything from casework and countertops to wood paneling, trim, stair systems, and finishing practices.<\/p>\n

The 433-page publication reflects updated performance-based standards developed through AWI\u2019s ANSI-accredited consensus process aimed at supporting consistency, quality, and best practices across the woodwork industry. It covers 10 American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-accredited woodwork standards developed by AWI.<\/p>\n

As an ANSI-accredited standards developer organization, AWI created these performance-based, public-consensus standards.<\/p>\n

\u201cUsers will also find supplemental material provided as an additional resource to the manufacturer, design professional, educator, user, or certifying organization,\u201d says AWI chief executve officer (CEO) Doug Hague said.<\/p>\n

All AWI and AWI\/ANSI Standards remain available for free online access<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1953, the AWI is a professional trade association of more than 1,200 members that publishes industry standards.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
