Projects can be new or restored structures falling under any of the competition\u2019s three categories: restoration\/renovation, new construction, or ornamental applications.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.copper.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Copper Development Association<\/a> (CDA) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.coppercanada.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Canadian Copper and Brass Development Association<\/a> (CCBDA) have used these awards to recognize a wide variety of projects in the past, including government buildings, educational facilities, museums, libraries, firehouses, single-family homes, and places of worship.<\/p>\n<p>Previous winners include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.copper.org\/applications\/architecture\/awards\/2016\/?launchAJAX=https:\/\/www.copper.org\/applications\/architecture\/awards\/2016\/harvard-law\/homepage.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Harvard Law School Langdell Hall roof replacement<\/a> in Cambridge, Massachusetts (2016);<\/li>\n<li>the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.copper.org\/applications\/architecture\/awards\/2015\/?launchAJAX=https:\/\/www.copper.org\/applications\/architecture\/awards\/2015\/maine-state-house\/homepage.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Maine State House Dome restoration<\/a> in Portland, Maine (2015);<\/li>\n<li>the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.copper.org\/applications\/architecture\/awards\/2014\/?launchAJAX=https:\/\/www.copper.org\/applications\/architecture\/awards\/2014\/building-52-clock-tower\/homepage.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Building 52 Clock Tower<\/a> in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas (2014); and<\/li>\n<li>the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.copper.org\/applications\/architecture\/awards\/2013\/?launchAJAX=https:\/\/www.copper.org\/applications\/architecture\/awards\/2013\/Museum-of-American-A\/homepage.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Museum of American Art\u2013Crystal Bridges<\/a> in Bentonville, Arkansas (2013).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This year marks the 10<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the NACIA awards. To celebrate, a public <a href=\"http:\/\/www.copper.org\/applications\/architecture\/awards\/ten-year-nacia.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">vote<\/a> is being held to determine the top 10 winners of the past decade. These will be announced alongside this year\u2019s winners at the NACIA awards ceremony in Orlando this April.<\/p>\n<p>Award submission can be made via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.copper.org\/applications\/architecture\/awards\/form\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">online form<\/a>.
