Custom Lighting Company Created Dramatic Fixtures that Fulfill Designers\u2019 Vision While Offering 70 Percent Energy Savings<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n

TAUNTON, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#customlighting<\/a>–Royal Contract Lighting today announced that it has created dramatic and energy-efficient custom lighting fixtures as part of the $6.5 million renovation of the meeting space at Caesars Entertainment Corporation<\/a>\u2019s Flamingo Las Vegas<\/a>. With its fresh, bright look and abundance of natural light, the space is the newest renovation of its kind on the east side of the Las Vegas Strip. Each meeting room is named after a different Nevada city and features historic photos from the 1950s, creating a nostalgic feeling within the modern space.<\/p>\n

Lighting Fixtures Are Glamorous Element of Redesign and Renovation<\/b><\/p>\n

The redesign includes updated walls, carpet, and lighting fixtures. KME Architects<\/a> of Las Vegas provided the sleek, contemporary design for the 80,000 square feet of convention space. Hospitality Purchasing Consultants of Colorado engaged Royal Contract Lighting to manufacture custom fixtures crafted of polished nickel, stainless steel, crystal, beveled glass, and sandblasted matte acrylic panels.<\/p>\n

Fifty-eight matte silver chandeliers with matte opal glass shades were created for the meeting rooms. \u201cThe renovated rooms pay homage to the property\u2019s past, while also giving it a fresh and modern new look,\u201d said Bob Morse, president of hospitality for Caesars Entertainment.<\/p>\n

Twenty-one steel and crystal cluster chandeliers, ranging from eight to ten feet in diameter, were created for one of the ballrooms. Twelve polished stainless-steel and faceted clear crystal chandeliers, five feet in diameter, illuminate the prefunction areas and stairwell.<\/p>\n

In addition to the oversize fixtures, more than 200 custom sconces were produced for the Flamingo. In keeping with Caesars Entertainment\u2019s CodeGreen initiatives<\/a>, all lighting was created with LED technology, which is expected to garner a 70 percent energy savings each year.<\/p>\n

More Creation and Renovation to Come<\/b><\/p>\n

Royal Contract Lighting is currently in the process of manufacturing more than 5,000 floor lamps, table lamps, and flush mounts for the Flamingo\u2019s guest rooms and suites. This is part of a $90 million renovation of 1,270 rooms at Flamingo Las Vegas that is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2018.<\/p>\n

The fully renovated rooms will feature unique, contemporary and retro-chic designs. Designed by Forrest Perkins<\/a>, the rooms were inspired to sparkle like glitter and shine like champagne, with vibrant hues of gold and bright pops of flamingo pink, keeping true to the property\u2019s character and charisma.<\/p>\n
