Selected by a panel of architects, eight projects involving MCA member companies were recognized for outstanding use of metal in buildings.<\/p>\n<p>Submissions were evaluated based on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>overall appearance;<\/li>\n<li>significance of metal used;<\/li>\n<li>innovative use of metal; and<\/li>\n<li>the role of metal in achieving project objectives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Chairman\u2019s Award winners in each category are as follows:<\/p>\n<p><em>Overall Excellence<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University of Iowa Visual Arts Building (architect: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stevenholl.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Steven Holl Associates<\/a>; MCA member: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rheinzink.us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rheinzink America<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Residential<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Residence at 877 Beacon\u2014Boston (architect: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ttarch.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Touloukian Touloukian<\/a>; MCA members: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.englertinc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Englert<\/a> and PPG Industries).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Metal Roofing<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mooseheart School\u2014Illinois (architect: Hestrup and Associates; MCA members: Petersen Aluminum and Valspar).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u00a0Education (Primary and Secondary Schools)<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medicine Crow Middle School\u2014Billings, Montana (architect: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.integrusarch.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Integrus<\/a> and A&amp;E; MCA members: Metal Sales Manufacturing and Valspar).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Education (Colleges and Universities)<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Whitcomb Art Center, Knox College\u2014Galesburg, Illinois (architect: Lake-Flato; MCA member: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mbci.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MBCI<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Institutional<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Speed Art Museum\u2014Louisville, Kentucky (architect: <a href=\"http:\/\/knbarch.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">K.
