The honors recognize ASHRAE members who have made outstanding contributions to furthering energy efficiency in the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&amp;R) industry.<\/p>\n<p>The Technology Awards celebrate society members who have successfully applied innovative building designs incorporating ASHRAE standards for effective energy management and indoor air quality (IAQ) and also serve to communicate innovative first systems design. The Technology Award recipient who demonstrates the best overall compliance with the judging criteria receives the Award of Engineering Excellence. This year, the honor went to Jonathan R. Rumohr and Jesse Hendershot in the category of existing educational facilities for the Heritage Hall Alumni Centre at Western Michigan University.<\/p>\n<p>The remaining Technology Award recipients are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mark C. Hersch and Holly M. Stevens (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.modus-eng.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MODUS<\/a>) in the category of existing commercial buildings category\u2014Market One LLC, Des Moines, Iowa;<\/li>\n<li>Roland Charneux (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pageaumorel.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pageau Morel et Associ\u00e9s<\/a>) in the category of new commercial buildings\u2014Mountain Equipment Co-Op Head Office, Vancouver, British Columbia;<\/li>\n<li>Raymond L. Beaufait (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmtaegrs.com\/index.php\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CMTA Consulting Engineers<\/a>) in the category of new educational facilities\u2014Discovery Elementary School, Arlington, Virginia;<\/li>\n<li>Steven T. Taylor, David Heinzerling, Allan Daly (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.taylor-engineering.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Taylor Engineering<\/a>), and Todd Gottshall (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.westernallied.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Western Allied Mechanical<\/a>) in the category of new other institutional buildings\u2014San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, California;<\/li>\n<li>Eric Michael Fullerton, Adam M. McElderry, and Andrew Jester (Bernhard TME) in the category of health care facilities existing building commissioning\u2014Pineville Enterprise Energy Management Phase 1, Charlotte, North Carolina; and<\/li>\n<li>Samuel Paradis and Yves St-Georges (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.snclavalin.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SNC<\/a>) in the category of new public assembly\u2014 Amphith\u00e9\u00e2tre Multifonctionnel de Qu\u00e9bec (Centre Vid\u00e9otron), Qu\u00e9bec City, Qu\u00e9bec.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ASHRAE also distributed the E.K. Campbell Award of Merit for outstanding achievement in teaching, the F. Paul Anderson Award for exceptional performed services, and the John F. James International Award, which is awarded to a member who enhances the society\u2019s international performance.
