Construction has commenced on The Collective, one of the country\u2019s first age-qualified community in\u00a0Manteca, California. It will have 478 detached homes and a 929-m2<\/sup> (10,000-sf) clubhouse registered to achieve WELL Certification<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The WELL Building Standard by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) rates gated communities on their ability to advance human well-being.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe recognized an incredible opportunity to create a new, disruptive community that would break the mold for the age-qualified housing market,\u201d said\u00a0Mike Maples, principal of Trumark, the project developer. \u201cFocusing on what we call the \u2018unAQ\u2019 and engaging our audience, The Collective will represent an innovative place where residents can live ageless, diverse, healthy lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

Situated on a 49 ha (120 acre), The Collective will include six neighborhoods. Phase one, consisting of three neighborhoods, will be built by Trumark Homes,\u00a0Taylor Morrison,\u00a0and Anthem United. The detached one- and two-story homes will range in size from 140 m2<\/sup> (1502 sf) to 267 m2<\/sup> (2870 sf).<\/p>\n
