Diners in Boston\u2019s Back Bay district\u00a0are\u00a0getting\u00a0Asian- and Latin American-inspired cuisine\u00a0amid\u00a0soaring\u00a0arches in a\u00a0double-height venue\u00a0merging\u00a0historic architectural detail and a tropical vibe in Nahita<\/a> restaurant. The d\u00e9cor is conceived\u00a0by\u00a0Turkish designer\u00a0Zeynep Fad\u0131ll\u0131o\u011flu\u00a0<\/a>in\u00a0partnership with architecture and interiors firm Dyer Brown<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The venue\u00a0is located on\u00a0the first floor of the historic Boston Gas Company building, now a high-end apartment building.<\/p>\n

The restaurant\u00a0merges\u00a0historic character defined by\u00a0original stone columns and plaster ceilings\u00a0with custom print wallpaper and\u00a0Italian marble. Dyer Brown, as the project\u2019s executive architect, drew on the firm\u2019s\u00a0experience in hospitality design, adaptive reuse, and property repositioning to provide\u00a0input on\u00a0specialty finishes and key\u00a0preservation\u00a0approvals.<\/p>\n

Adding\u00a0metal arches to the\u00a0former\u00a0building lobby\u00a0and\u00a0lauding its high ceilings, the interiors offer\u00a0a\u00a0light, airy feel with ruddy wall finishes\u00a0and pendant lighting. Tile accents\u00a0and a mix of\u00a0furnishings\u00a0in rich brown leather\u00a0add to its vibe.<\/p>\n

\u201cNahita\u2019s patrons relax in a mix of formal and lounge-style seating\u00a0seemingly worlds away from our city\u2019s hustle and bustle,\u201d says Deniz Ferendeci, AIA, director of asset design + support for Dyer Brown. \u201cCollaborating with\u00a0Zeynep Fad\u0131ll\u0131o\u011flu\u00a0to realize her\u00a0singular\u00a0concept for the owners\u2019 vision, Dyer Brown\u00a0drew on local sources for globally inspired materials to create\u00a0an unrivaled dining environment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Off the main dining area, patrons can find a marble-wrapped bar as well as a\u00a0private dining room\u00a0lined in\u00a0rich, dark wood, and marble\u00a0over\u00a0ceramic tile floors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
