With classic New York design and a French aesthetic, the Greenwich Tower in West Soho weaves into the urban fabric of the historic streetscape.<\/span>

Earlier this month, West Soho\u2019s newest residential tower, Greenwich West<\/a>, rose to its full 30-story height. Paris- and New York-based architects combined classic New York design and a French aesthetic to the building and wove it into the urban fabric of the historic streetscape.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis moment marks a major milestone for Greenwich West, and we\u2019re proud to see the building take its place on the skyline,\u201d said Phillip Gesue, chief officer of development at Strategic Capital. \u201cPlaza Construction has done an incredible job of bringing our team of Parisian designers\u2019 vision to life and the building\u2019s rapid progress is a direct result of their hard work and dedication.\u201d<\/p>\n

Architecture firms Loci Anima<\/a> and Adamson Associates<\/a> designed a handmade brick fa\u00e7ade with custom glazed brick accents and art deco-inspired curved corners, which lends softness to the tower. Industrial-style casement windows\u2014framed by hand-laid brick patterns and custom brick borders\u2014honor the neighborhood\u2019s heritage.<\/p>\n

Designed by Sebastien Segers Architects<\/a>, the interiors echo the curves of the exterior architecture, including deep undulating window-sills topped with Carrara marble inviting interaction with the windows and views. Botanist and landscape artist Patrick Blanc<\/a> designed a signature vertical green wall for the building\u2019s courtyard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
