Polished concrete: Not just shiny
Specifications

The industry has not been able to standardize the language to describe durable, safe, and attractive polished concrete floors. During polished concrete’s infancy, specifiers, designers, and owners turned to contractor terms like grit to help them establish a baseline without fully appreciating the variety of solutions this word represents, and opened themselves up to undefinable benchmarks.

The state of energy efficiency: IECC and the building enclosure

Today, the path to energy code compliance can be nuanced and complicated, requiring knowledge not just of standards and materials, but a basic understanding of scientific concepts like the laws of thermo- and fluid-dynamics.
