LIGHTNING PROTECTION: DELEGATED DESIGN?
What do members of this forum most commonly see relative to final design of lightning protection systems for buildings and structures: electrical engineer fully designs the system; final design of system is expressly delegated to an electrical engineer retained by the contractor, subcontractor, or supplier; final design is by an unlicensed employee of the lightning protection system supplier or subcontractor, who is probably required by the contract to be a Underwriters Laboratories (UL) lightning protection system master installer; or something else?
