Construction: Ultra-high-performance concrete

While concrete has been around in some form for thousands of years, the newest iteration, ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC), is creating a stir. BASIS OF DESIGN PRODUCTS REALLY??
After writing specs for over 4,000 projects, naming three equal manufacturers with product names and asserting they will all fit is not the approach that any of our architects take either on private or public bid projects. They just don't have the resources. I'm also fond of the code requirement that the A/E provide a firestopping schedule on the drawings with appropriate UL numbers for the entire project. Ever seen an architect provide one?

WHY DO I NEED A GENERIC ACCESSIBILITY SHEET??
I am becoming aware recently of the increase in construction documents where there is some form of a generic ADA or accessibility sheet. I became concerned when a Building Code Official requested that I provide this sheet in my construction documents submitted to the local jurisdiction. I feel that it is the responsibility of the Architect/Registered Design Professional who’s in charge to know how to comply with the local building codes and all accessibility guidelines in the permit drawings submitted, not a generic sheet that no one will review or construct on site. Thoughts?
