SOAP FINISH ON WOOD FURNITURE: PRODUCT DATA/EXPERIENCE? |
Has anyone had experience with or know of where I could find product data on what is called a "soap finish" used on wood? I have a project with a piece of furniture that was delivered with this finish on it (selected by and paid for by owner). Now that it is installed there is a concern (this is in the waiting/entry area of a facility) that it may become stained from coffee or other beverage spills. Does anyone have experience with this type of finish, its durability, and what options are available for re-finishing a surface that has had this done to it? The intent was to provide a very minimalistic appearance—which has been achieved—it is more of an ongoing maintenance/care concern at this point. |
