Maintaining multilevel parking deck systems
Maintaining multilevel parking deck systems
It is hard to imagine any urban setting without parking garages. Given the limited availability of usable areas in busy cities, parking structures efficiently provide stalls for vehicles in airports, train stations, bus stations, commercial buildings, hospitals, and malls.

Construction-related failures in plumping pipes
Construction-related failures in plumping pipes

BALLISTICS RESISTANT GLAZING
I’m helping a colleague with a ballistic glazing application. We’re very early in the process right now. Are there any members who are Certified Construction Product Representatives (CCPRs) with this type of application, familiar with these types of applications, or could recommend an avenue to reach out for product or application information?

BUDGETING METHODS
I’m interested in hearing your experiences with project management methods and considerations for budgeting for specifications. I’m seeking feedback from architecture firms with in-house specifiers, but I would like to hear from independent specifiers as well. I’ve seen budgets based on percentages of total fees, calendar time analysis, project size and complexity, flat rates, etc. How are others addressing project delivery, coordination time, revenue the company wishes to earn employing specifiers, additional service value above and beyond editing and raw deliverables, and specifier skill level in their methods?
