When the colonial-style Singaporean brand, Raffles, selected a prominent corner site in Boston as the location for its first North American mixed-use property, it was no surprise the project team chose a unitized curtain wall facade system for the building.

Polyiso: more than just continuous insulation
Polyiso: more than just continuous insulation
If building managers cannot adequately control water and moisture permeation within their wall assembly due to natural events and poor design, it can cause extensive damage. Polyiso continuous wall insulation not only resists water but also offers superior thermal resistance to help ensure long-term energy efficiency within the building envelope.

THOUGHTS REGARDING JUMP STARTING THE RUST LOOK ON CORTEN STEEL
I am working on a project that uses CorTen steel panels as both a metal panel finish on the building and as a fencing material. The design architect would like the finish to rust as soon as possible to get the desired look for the owner. One of our contract administrators suggested spraying the panels with water soon after installation. Has anyone found a good suggestion to include in Part 3 of the metal panel wall spec to help make the finish achieve its look?

FLEXIBLE BOLLARDS
I crafted a specification section at the request of one of our offices for Flexible Bollards. I “created” section 32 39 11 Manufactured Flexible Bollards as the requested spec but wondered who else has had such an exercise and if you might be willing to share what you wrote? The willingness and assistance of the CSI Nation is most appreciated!
