Field Testing of Storefronts per AAMA 502/503, Specifically Field Test Pressures |
Hi all, I am looking for feedback regarding validation of storefront installations through field water test using AAMA 502, 503, and ASTM E1105 test protocols. AAMA’s written protocols indicate an allowable 1/3 reduction in field test pressures from laboratory test pressures to allow for field conditions that cannot be controlled. However, AAMA 502/503 allows other test pressures to be specified for ASTM E1105, typically above the 1/3 reduction. Here are my questions for architects, consultants, and glazing contractors…
