ADAPTING AIA-BASED SPECS FOR ENGINEERING PROJECT
My employer maintains separate libraries of master specs for our architectural and engineering projects. The former is oriented on using AIA documents for Div 00, while the latter are based on EJCDC's C-Series Documents as Div 00. From time to time, someone in senior management asks why separate spec libraries are necessary, or, "Can we make them more interchangeable?" To this end, I've been asked to prepare guidance for engineering staff who may want or need to use an architectural master spec on an engineering project that includes our EJCDC Div 00. What advice might be offered for someone who seeks to adapt an architectural spec (developed for use with AIA documents) for use on an engineering project, or with some other Div 00.

In this environment, the potential for a Covid-19 outbreak is increased to almost unbearable limits. How do we handle this you may ask?
