Theory of a self-drying flat roof |
|
Roof enclosures traditionally have the largest litigation potential in the construction industry due to complexities in design, application, and environmental exposure. Development of a self-drying roof enclosure would minimize the litigation potential and provide additional benefits, such as increased roof resiliency, reduced financial burden, and minimal impact on the environment. I specifically am looking for source of recommendations at various points in the lifespan of the parking lot surface. Certainly, crack filling every year, once they start to occur. I have talked with asphalt contractors and am concerned especially with their recommendation to apply a sealer at the 10-year point. Is there a source of good scientific information about this mystery ‘black paint’ they suggest?
