A balanced door pivots at two-thirds of the door, distributing the weight and creating a balance allowing the door to easily open. The bottom arm (shown above) is one of two connections between the door leaf and frame. One end of the bottom arm is connected to the door by a stainless steel pin which projects out of the door bottom pivot and engages into the arm.
