ACI releases updated manual
The American Concrete Institute (ACI) has released the updated eighth edition of SP-4(14) Formwork for Concrete Manual. The resource includes current standards and practices and has removed outdated content. Information has been added on new technology developments and practices. This edition is also the first to be completely in color, with more than 500 photos and 150 illustrations for reference. Further, information in compliance with 2012 National Design Specification for Wood Construction (NDS) issued by the American Wood Council (AWC), and reflecting changes in American Society of Civil Engineers/Structural Engineering Institute (ASCE/SEI) 37, Design Loads on Structures During Construction, are also included. New examples include use of allowable stress, load, and resistance factor designs. For more, visit www.concrete.org.
