The Chicago department of aviation has unveiled the final five design proposals for the O’Hare expansion project. They have asked the public to review the designs and share their opinions.

Five 3D models are on display at the Chicago Architecture Center. The teams were asked to design a cutting-edge terminal, while reflecting the legacy of Chicago’s innovation, architecture, and diversity. This is the first time the City of Chicago has involved public feedback in a design competition at its airports. At 209,032 m2 (2.25 million sf), the new terminal will be among one of the largest in the United States.
