Next week, CONSTRUCT, held in conjunction with the 59th CSI Annual Convention, kicks off in the Gateway City. The conference and expo, taking place at America’s Center Convention Complex in St. Louis, Missouri, is put on by Informa Exhibitions U.S. with CSI as the official partner.
The show gives design/construction professionals from all backgrounds a chance to network, collaborate, pursue continuing education, and gain a first-hand look at the newest in materials, products, and services for creating and maintaining the built environment. As the official publication of CSI, The Construction Specifier is excited to be part of the much-anticipated annual event.
We’re proudly sponsoring the CSI Awards Ceremony on Friday, October 2 at the Ferrara Theatre, which recognizes those who have gone above and beyond with their contributions to the industry. Among the recipients honored will be the authors behind our February 2015 cover story, “Cold-formed Steel Framing Gets Complicated[2].” Michael Chusid, Chuck Mears, Ryan Rademacher, and Sheri Carter will take home the Article of the Year Award. Further, Chusid—along with several other past (and future!) Specifier authors—will be presenting a technical session as part of the show’s educational program[3].
The Construction Specifier is also joining Tnemec and Behr in co-sponsoring CSI Night Out—a great way to unwind after a long day of exhibits and education. The party takes place at the Crown Room of the Budweiser Brew House at Ballpark Village from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, October 2. Overlooking Busch Stadium (home of the St. Louis Cardinals), the Brew House will serve as host to entertaining night with local craft beers, food, and dancing.
For a deeper look at the events comprising CONSTRUCT, you can check out our September issue’s special preview, kicked off with an intro[4] by CSI president Lane Beougher, FCSI, CCS, CCCA. (In that same issue, you’ll see a warm welcome[5] from new CSI executive director/CEO Mark Dorsey, FASAE, CAE.) However, for the latest updates (and registration), you’ll want to visit www.constructshow.com[6] or connect with the show’s organizers through Facebook[7] and Twitter.[8] There’s also an app[9] available for iOS and Android users.
See you at the show!
