Filling the voids: Differentiating between concrete coating and polishing

Concrete slab surfaces have voids. For existing concrete, one can either deal with these voids through coating (sometimes referred to as sealing) or by refining and changing the surface via polishing. Unfortunately, not enough members of the project team are fluent in differentiating between the coating products of Division 09 and the cementitious products of Division 03. The terms “coatings” and “polishing” are often confused, especially when it comes to the many clear coating technologies available.

Predicting condensation performance of custom-designed curtain wall

Condensation on glazed areas of building envelopes may seem innocuous—at worst an annoying interference with outdoor views due to glass fogging. However, in addition to being unsightly, it can be unsanitary and over long periods of time, damage adjacent building materials through staining, mold growth, or rot that can lead to costly remediation and even lawsuits over alleged toxic reactions. It can be of major importance in condensation-critical applications, where high levels of humidity are regularly encountered or are particularly detrimental, such as hospitals, laboratories, and museums.

FEDERAL WAGE REQUIREMENTS
I am specifying a small hospital project in rural Alabama partially funded by the Economic Development Administration of the Department of Commerce. Where is the normal place to put Davis Bacon wage rate requirements? I feel sure there is a proper place to put this, but it escapes me. Any guidance would be most appreciated!

PLEASE HELP WITH NATATORIUM STEEL
Does anyone have options as how to protect a structural truss in a high school natatorium within the chlorinated environment. Our standard has typically been Tnemec primer but another proposed option was galvanize the truss, sandblast imperfections, then apply the Tnemec primer. Truss sizes are 88DLH18 - J33, significant size and the current plan is to run fabric ducts through the joists.
