General contractor C.W. Driver Companies, in collaboration with TSK Architects, recently broke ground on the $15-million Beaumont Carnegie Library renovation and expansion.
Originally built in 1914, the historic library will be modernized to meet seismic, accessibility, and safety standards while incorporating a new 845-m2 (9,100-sf) addition that will enhance services and community resources.
Located at 125 East 8th Street in Beaumont, Calif., the project will be completed in two phases to ensure the library remains accessible during construction:
This library has been a cornerstone of the Beaumont community for generations, and its transformation will provide modern, accessible, and dynamic spaces for residents.
Once completed, the new and improved library will continue to serve as a hub for learning, creativity, and connection, blending historical preservation with future-focused design.
This project is slated for completion in 2026.
