The New Orleans Saints and ASM Global have marked the completion of the renovation of the Caesars Superdome by New Orleans-based architecture firm Trahan Architects.

Completed ahead of the NFL regular season and Super Bowl LIX, which will be hosted in February 2025, the Caesars Superdome’s transformation improves the fan experience and extends the building’s lifespan.

The interior of the 68,000-seat stadium has been fully renovated, and the Superdome now provides improved guest experience, dining, navigation, wayfinding, team facilities, and operational efficiency.

The architects increased the stadium’s overall square footage without expanding the building’s footprint, reclaiming more than 9,290 m2 (100,000 sf) of public space by removing most of a complex ramp network. In its place, new light-filled atriums have been fixed in the building’s three new primary fan entrances, offering new amenity spaces, higher ceilings, new egress stairwells, and introducing the building’s first high-speed escalators to the upper levels of the seating bowl.

The renovation unearthed an additional 4,645 m2 (50,000 sf) of usable back-of-house space, expanding operations and storage and improving overall circulation for greater efficiency.

The stadium also features Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant seating with improved sight lines and unobstructed views of the field from multiple levels of the seating bowl.
