R.D. Olson Construction opened Appellation Healdsburg, an 11,612-m2 (125,000-sf) property in the heart of California’s wine country. The space will be a food-first resort offering a culinary-first experience, courtesy of celebrity chef Charlie Palmer.

Guest amenities include a 790-m² (8,500-sf) spa, fitness center, lap pool, as well as a family pool and jacuzzi.

R.D. Olson Construction also built the 1,338-m² (14,398-sf) barn-style Grange Building, which features an astroturf surface for flexible use and easy tent setup.

The resort comprises 15 buildings that hold 108 guestrooms alongside food-first dining areas and amenity spaces.

The development of Appellation Healdsburg generated approximately 400 construction jobs and was a collaborative effort with architect Hart Howerton, EDG Interior Architecture & Design, structural engineers IMEG, MEP engineers EXP, civil engineer Carlile Macy, and soils engineer Kleinfelder, Inc.
