A borescope photo taken through mortar joint in brick cavity wall surrounding a concrete structural column. A masonry lift had been attached to the building at this column. Three threaded studs were employed to hold the lift brace in place. After the lift was removed, the opening in the brick was repaired but not the opening in the sheathing. This allowed water behind the sheathing and eventually into the building.
