ASHRAE has awarded $225,200 in scholarships to 47 students for the 2026-27 academic year.

ASHRAE is a global professional society that advances building systems, energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and sustainability through research, standards, education, and professional development.

The scholarships recognize students who show academic excellence and a commitment to careers in engineering and the built environment. The program also supports the next generation of professionals in the industry.

ASHRAE officials said the awards will help develop the workforce needed to advance innovation in buildings, sustainability, and resilience.

“The future of our industry depends on the talent, curiosity, and determination of the next generation,” said 2026-27 ASHRAE president Sarah E. Maston.

“By investing in these students today, ASHRAE is helping develop the engineers and innovators who will create healthier, more resilient, and more sustainable buildings for communities around the world,” Maston said.

The scholarship program supports students preparing for careers that will influence the design, operation, and performance of buildings. ASHRAE said these future professionals will play a key role in addressing the industry’s evolving technical and environmental challenges.
