Los Angeles airport to get a new concourse

The Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will be getting a concourse expansion at the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT). The Midfield Satellite Concourse (MSC) North, is a five-level, 69,677-m2 (750,000-sf) expansion that will be accessible via a 111-m2 (1200-ft) long tunnel corridor with moving walkways.

Oceanwide Plaza, the first U.S. project for international developer Oceanwide Holdings, has topped off its three residential and hotel towers in downtown Los Angeles. Record-breaking heights in global skyscraper construction

This year saw completion of more buildings with a height of 200 m (656 ft) or greater than any previous year, says the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH). According to its 2017 Tall Building Year in Review, 144 of these skyscrapers completed construction worldwide, which is up from 127 in 2016. This marks the fourth consecutive record-breaking year, with the global number of annual skyscraper-builds nearly doubling since 2013.
