The University of Massachusetts Boston (UMB) Dining and Residence Hall project has achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
Construction of a state-of-the-art biotechnology laboratory and office building in Gloucester was completed last month. The 1719 m2 (18,500 sf) facility is located in a designated port area in the city’s historic waterfront and will be dedicated to marine research.
The HouseZero lab at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD) was completed earlier this month in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Snøhetta and Skanska Teknikk retrofitted the headquarters of the Harvard Center for Green Buildings and Cities (CGBC), in a pre-1940s building into a living laboratory and an energy-positive prototype for ultra-efficiency.
