The Urban Land Institute’s (ULI’s) Center for Sustainability and Economic Performance has released a report outlining ten fundamental principles for building resilient regions that successfully anticipate, respond to, and recover from both extreme weather events and long-term stresses/concerns.
The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) Southerly Wastewater Treatment Plant in the Greater Cleveland area, Ohio, is the recent recipient of the Envision Silver award for sustainable infrastructure. It is the oldest infrastructure project to win an Envision award. In 2014, the plant authorities opened a renewable energy facility (REF), which was a key driver to pursuing Envision verification.
