A nine-story patient tower at the Methodist University Hospital (MUH) in Memphis, Tennessee, is now complete. The 41,806-m2 (450,000-sf) tower was constructed on top of the already existing emergency department of the hospital.
The U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC’s) newest version of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building program, LEED v4.1, is open for registration for new construction projects as well as interior spaces with LEED v4.1 BD+C and LEED v4.1 ID+C.
The HouseZero lab at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD) was completed earlier this month in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Snøhetta and Skanska Teknikk retrofitted the headquarters of the Harvard Center for Green Buildings and Cities (CGBC), in a pre-1940s building into a living laboratory and an energy-positive prototype for ultra-efficiency.
