The American Wood Council (AWC) has released Design of Wood Frame Buildings for High Wind, Snow, and Seismic Loads. The workbook includes design examples and checklists for wood-frame structures in compliance with 2012 Wood Frame Construction Manual (WFCM) for One- and Two-family Dwellings. Included in the resource are plans from two-story residences as the foundation for designs that resist high wind, seismic, and snow loads. The Firestop Contractors International Association (FCIA) has developed a comprehensive Firestop Containment Worker Education Program (FSCW-EP).
