According to a new report by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), 126 buildings of 200-m (656-ft) height or greater were completed this year, including 26 ‘supertall’ buildings at least 300 m (984 ft) tall.
Designed by Arquitectonica, Elysee condominium in downtown Miami has topped off at 57 stories. With its telescoping shape, the 198-m (649-ft) tower will become the tallest residential building in the city’s Edgewater neighborhood when it is completed next year.
The 111 West 57th Street’s residences by SHoP Architects has topped out at 435 m (1428 ft). The tower embraces the classic New York skyscraper and artisan tradition and restores the Steinway Hall, a cultural landmark.
Brandywine Realty Trust has unveiled the architectural designs for the first two ground-up, mixed-use towers in Schuylkill Yards, a $3.5-billion neighborhood taking shape in University City, Philadelphia. Brandywine Realty Trust enlisted the expertise of global architecture firm Practice for Architecture and Urbanism (PAU) for the towers.
