At this month’s 15th annual Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) Awards Symposium in Chicago, CTBUH announced the winners of several awards. Most notably, Shanghai Tower—the tallest building in China—was awarded the title of Best Tall Building Worldwide.
The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) announced the world’s second tallest building, Shanghai Tower in China, achieves Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum for Core and Shell (CS).
The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) was selected as the 13th recipient of the Henry C. Turner Prize for Innovation in Construction. The award recognizes an advancement or high achievement in construction, such as an invention, an innovative methodology, or exemplary leadership.
